000 guitar build - 3.0 rosette

Finished up the soundhole rosette today. Had a bit of trouble with one of the rings that wasn't seated square. When trimming the rings flush with a hand plane part of the outer layer of dark ring came out.

To fix it I cleaned out a narrow channel where that dark strip should have been and delaminated a bit of scrap to fill the channel. I got some assistance from the lovely Mrs. Melandy to put the strip in place. One that was done and glue was set, I trimmed it flush with a razor blade and all is well.
