000 guitar build - headstock and neck fitting

Ok so not really fitting the neck yet, just some prep steps. It looked weird to put "cheek relief" in the post title.

Some material is removed from the neck next to the tenon to accommodate the convexity (that's a word, right?) of the sides.

Also there's a pic of the headstock after refinishing following the sand-through a couple of weeks ago.
