Uke build 0.2 - Jig

I built the form jig for the uke today (see pics below). I started with a full sheet of 3/4" plywood (4'x8'). Way more than I needed for this project, but I picked up a couple of sawhorses, and used the leftover plywood as a work table.

Construction was pretty straight forward:

1. Cut out a block of plywood.
2. Mark a centerline and two end lines.
3. Trace the outline of the uke.
4. Attach end pieces.
4a. Cut end pieces to size.
4b. Drill pilot holes.
4c. Attach end pieces with glue and two screws.
5. Attach waist restraints with screws (metal corner braces).

I did steps 4 and 5 in reverse order. The corner braces I had on hand were way too big, so the waist restraints had to wait for a trip to the hardware store. It turned out not to matter since the two steps were independent.

That's it for now.

Edit: I adjusted the lists above. The details on end blocks were supposed to be nested.
